When will it happen?

Disruption is live in asset production right now and will intensify through 2030 as generative tools become native to Unreal and Unity workflows. Expect team sizes for comparable-scope games to keep shrinking, hitting junior artists, outsourcing studios, and content-production roles first. Will AI make game development jobs disappear?

It's shrinking the number of people needed per game rather than eliminating the craft. Can AI design a genuinely fun game?
