Storm response — the trade's bloody overtime — is improvisation under pressure by definition. And clients pay partly for judgment plus liability: a certified arborist's recommendation carries insurance and legal weight a phone app doesn't.
Expect a split trade: assessment goes hybrid, with AI surveys triaging and certified arborists verifying and prescribing; production work stays human but more mechanized where access allows, thinning ground-crew labor slightly. Urban canopy investment and climate-driven storm loads are meanwhile expanding total demand. The climbers, in particular, aren't going anywhere except up.
